You’re Invited!
You are invited to join the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Transit Roundtable as it hosts the Mobility Matters: Creating Community Transportation Solutions workshop on October 7, 2008. This lively, interactive, and free workshop will help the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Transit Roundtable to develop solutions to transportation challenges facing our region and enhance the mobility of central
Iowa
’s residents.
Workshop Purpose
High fuel prices and changing demographics are creating an increasing demand on public and community transportation. Service providers throughout the metro and surrounding counties increasingly struggle to help their clients deal with transportation challenges. This workshop will educate participants about transportation coordination efforts underway in central
Iowa
and about promising practices from across the nation. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to work with transportation providers to develop solutions to the area’s unmet transportation needs.
