The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will seek public input and comments on requests to amend the Federal Fiscal Years 2014-2017 Transportation Improvement Program (FFY 2014-2017 TIP).
The City of Des Moines, the City of West Des Moines, and Polk County request the following amendments:
Sponsor: City of Des Moines
Project: Downtown Transportation Restoration Study
Federal Aid Amount: N/A
Total Cost: $200,000
Change: Add to the FFY 2014 TIP
Sponsor: City of Des Moines
Project: Payton Avenue Bridge, Over Stream
Federal Aid Amount: $720,000 in STP-HBP funds
Total Cost: $900,000
Change: Add project to the
Sponsor: City of West Des Moines
Project: Grand Avenue – Phase 6: From South 35th Street to South 50th Street
Federal Aid Amount: $2,300,000 in STP funds (FFY 2015-2017)
Total Cost: $6,575,000
Change: Shift $500,000 from FFY 2015 into FFY 2014
Sponsor: Polk County
Project: Northwest 72nd Place, Over Saylor Creek
Federal Aid Amount: $440,000 in STP-HBP funds
Total Cost: $550,000
Change: Add project to FFY 2014 TIP
