Transportation Advisory Group (TAG)

The Transportation Advisory Group (TAG) is a committee of transportation providers, human service agencies, state and local government agencies, health care providers, and other interested stakeholders that work to coordinate human service transportation in central Iowa. The TAG is a subcommittee of the Public Transportation Roundtable, a committee that deals more broadly with public transportation issues in central Iowa. The Transportation Advisory Group was developed and is staffed by the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and has been in existence since 2006.

The TAG meets every other month, with Alison Walding & Sarah Constable serving as co-chairs.

If you have questions about the group, or would like copies of past agendas or minutes, please contact Allison Riley.

The MPO and CIRTPA Passenger Transportation Plan (PTP) can be found here.

A proposed amendment to the PTP is under consideration. The details of the proposed amendment are here. The public has a chance to comment on these changes until January 18th. A public input meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 to 6:00 pm on January 10, 2017 here at the MPO office. If you have any questions please contact Andrew Collings.
