I’d never seen a cargo bike like this one. I peppered the proud builder with questions. He answered them with the same practiced ease with which I answer people’s iPad questions, when I’m doing a little writing over at the coffeeshop.

The mid-deck platform can be swapped out for an additional seat. He says that it’s just as stable as a regular bike, thanks to the fact that the center of gravity of the added weight is so low. I was impressed with the steering arm, which seemed nicely-engineered. This is certainly no dippy “art bike” that can’t really be ridden.

Great stuff. He asked me to send him a copy of the photo. But damn and blast: when I got home and emptied my pockets, his business card was nowhere to be found. I really hope he comes across this photoset…or I come across that card.
