We all appreciate having the ability to choose. When it comes to choosing how you get around, some choices may seem better than others. Whether you want to bike, walk, scoot, bus, or paddle, we want to hear how we can best keep your options open in the Greater Des Moines region. If you have thoughts on how to build safer, more accessible active transportation options where you live, this is the plan for you!
Why now? The Des Moines Area MPO is embarking on the development of a regional active transportation plan. The plan, InterCONNECT will assess the quality of the current active transportation network and bring together regional plans and stakeholders working to improve that network. InterCONNECT will advise decision-makers where future energy, time, and money will be best spent to ensure safe, convenient, accessible transportation options are available to everyone.
