{"id":25882,"date":"2024-02-26T11:39:15","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T17:39:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmampo.org\/?post_type=plan&#038;p=25882"},"modified":"2024-03-05T10:26:23","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T16:26:23","slug":"comprehensive-safety-action-plan","status":"publish","type":"plan","link":"https:\/\/dmampo.org\/plan\/comprehensive-safety-action-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Comprehensive Safety Action Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is developing a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for the Greater Des Moines region, thanks to a $800,000 planning grant from the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program of the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SS4A Grant Program was established in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill to support the department\u2019s National Roadway Safety Strategy and a goal of zero deaths and serious injuries on the nation\u2019s roadways. This discretionary program will provide $5 billion to $6 billion in grants over the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Comprehensive Safety Action Plan is a requirement for subsequent rounds of funding through the SS4A Grant Program.
