Because with you as our members \u2013 partners in bettering our region \u2013 our work together is having a tremendous impact on Central Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have had several notable successes planning for the future of the regional transportation network: investing millions of dollars in streets, bridges, transit and trails; utilizing paved-trail-condition data generated by the nation\u2019s first \u201cdata bike\u201d; updating the region\u2019s long-range transportation plan; and convening the region\u2019s first Smart City Roundtable to adapt to emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have also taken significant steps to ensure that the MPO is strategically aligned with our member governments\u2019 interests. This year we began implementing the MPO Strategic Plan. In particular, we updated our governing structure to improve representation and promote more active dialogue at committee meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s much to look forward to in the coming year.
