Description
The Iowa Health Alert Network (HAN) system is a secure, web–based communication system. This communication system is a partnership implemented by the Iowa Department of Public Health, Local Public Health Agencies, Hospitals and other agencies. It is designed to enable a 24/7 flow of critical information between the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and local partners throughout the state.
Iowa's HAN system is capable of rapid distribution of health information, important documents, announcements, news items and collaborative sharing between agencies throughout Iowa. The system utilizes multiple formats to deliver notifications which include email, phone, pager, and text messaging.
