The Des Moines Area MPO is striving to ensure the public continues to have opportunity to participate in its decision-making process during the COVID-19 pandemic. The MPO has made special arrangements for the public to join MPO committees’ virtual meetings.
Here’s what you need to know:
- All MPO committee meetings are being held virtually until further notice. Non-essential meetings are being postponed or cancelled.
- Meeting agendas continue to be published and distributed normally.
- Each agenda now includes instructions for joining the meetings virtually.
- The public can call into a conference line to listen to MPO committee meetings and follow along with the presentation.
- Phones will be muted for most of the meeting.
- Phones will be unmuted during the public comment period or any public hearing. Callers will then have opportunity to make comments.
- Copies of the presentation will be posted online with the meeting agendas on the day of the meeting.
We have taken these steps in effort to provide the public access to the MPO’s decision-making process. However, if you are unable to participate this way, please reach out the MPO staff at info@dmampo.org. or 515-334-0075 and we will work with you to ensure your participation.
